June 2019: Squadie of the Month

JUNE 2019 SUPER SQUADIE:

JENNIFER SMART!!

Happy June Squadies! Once again, it is time to announce our SUPER SQUADIE for this month!

If you DIDN’T have a chance to check out last month’s Super Squadie, CLICK HERE to check out ELI HARRIS’ LEAN-Credible Transformation!!

For the month of June, our Super Squadie is the LEAN-MAZING:

JENNIFER SMART!

Jennifer got started on the #90DAYLEANPLAN in April 2019! In 3 short months, Jennifer was able to loose 24lbs and is looking absolutely LEANCREDIBLE! She has been such a lean-spiration to myself and the LEANSQUAD community! Since the beginning of her lean journey, Jennifer has had such a up-beat and positive attitude towards all the lean changes that the 90dayleanplan brings along with it! She pushed through her workouts and stayed constant, building up her energy, stamina and confidence SINCE WEEK 1!! We really appreciated her “bring it on” spirit, ready for whatever challenge she is hit with next!

We wanted to thank our June Super Squadie for being such a LEAN-SPIRATION! She has definitely been such a positive and motivational part of the squad since she first began her journey with us! We know you will continue to CRUSH through your next phase, and will be READY and WILLING to take on any challenges that come your way! Thank you for showing us that with hard work, dedication, and a positive outlook, you can reach your goals while motivating and helping those around you throughout the process!

Q1-Q4: Name, age, hometown, occupation

Name: Jennifer Smart

Age: 34

Hometown: Oshawa, Ontario

Occupation: Director, events @ Rugby Canada

Q5: When did you join LEANSQUAD?

April 2019

Q6: Which phase are your currently on?

Lean Phase 3

Q7: What’s your biggest success as a part of the LEANSQUAD?

This is a tough one, as I feel like I’m winning on so many levels thanks to LeanSquad! I guess the biggest wins are:

  1. Losing the weight! I’m fitting into clothes that I haven’t been able to wear in a couple years, and its such a great feeling! I have so much more confidence.

  2. ENERGY!!! I cannot believe how much more energetic I feel these days. Eating right and working out can really do wonders for your

  3. I’m cooking! This may arguably be the biggest win and success of my Lean Journey. Prior to LeanSquad I didn’t cook beyond the odd batch of scrambled or fried eggs or some macaroni and cheese! If I was left to fend for myself it was usually take out or whatever foods I could find in the cupboard (hello peanut butter on a spoon!). While I’m still not a big fan of cooking, Phil’s leancipes are easy to follow, not overwhelming and most importantly the meals are DELICIOUS! It’s helped me to stay motivated to continue cooking and trying all of Phil’s leancipes!

Q8: What’s your favourite LEAN Meal?

Portobello Baked Eggs with Sundried Tomatoes

Q9: What’s your favourite Whoopsie?

Ice Cream

Q10: What’s your number 1 LEANSQUAD tip to share?

  1. For Meals: When planning out which the leancipes you want to use for the week, try and select leancipes that have similar ingredients! This makes the grocery shopping process easier, also allows for batch cooking – another key to success! Take it from someone that doesn’t care for cooking, the more efficiency you can find in your prep the more likely you are to follow through.

  2. For Workouts: Workout first thing in the morning! If you’re anything like me, then putting it off to later likely means you won’t do it! Also, watch all the youtube videos of your exercises and load workouts into the Seconds app in advance of starting your workouts for the week. Just like the meals, you’ll be more likely to stick to your workouts if you do the prep!

Q11: What would you say to someone who is about to start their lean journey?

You have to be prepared to put in the work; as great as Phil is he can’t do it for you. That said, there is SO much support from Phil and the community, and some really inspiring stories that can help to keep you motivated. There is absolutely ZERO judgement or negativity in this community. You have got this, and we (your fellow squadies) will help lift you when you need it. Also, if you fall off the lean wagon, DO NOT FEEL BAD and don’t let that it derail you for good. We are all human and we all have (and love) our whoopsies! The important thing is to get back on that wagon! The physical transformation is leanmazing, but benefits to your overall health and wellbeing are nothing short of spectacular IMO. YOU’VE GOT THIS!! ☺

Q12: What’s your favourite LEAN restaurant to eat out at?

Ooooo, this is a toughy! Hmm… I’m a big fan of sports bars with big screens to watch my fav teams (Let’s Go Raptors!). Now that summer’s around the corner, it will be anywhere with a good patio!

q13:If you have one, please submit a PERSONAL recipe that would be LEANSQUAD approved!!!

Marry a partner who loves to cook and have him/her make delicious LeanSquad approved meals for you! ;)
