HEALTHY COOKIE DOUGH BALL RECIPE!
PALEO | VEGAN
Happy Wednesday Squadies! Today I am bringing you a leansanly tasty recipe perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth! Today I am sharing with you my HEALTHY COOKIE DOUGH BALL RECIPE!
That’s right! Cookie dough flavour minus the cookie and minus the dough! How is that even possible!? I got one word for you: Dates! Dates are packed with nutrients, containing 2g of protein, 7g of fibre and high levels of potassium, magnesium, iron and vitamin B6. Dates also have high levels of antioxidants. Due to all these benefits, dates can have a positive impact on your overall health. The best part?! Dates are super tasty and sweet! Rather than eating foods packed with processed sugar, you can enjoy these cookie dough balls - something sweet and healthy!
Another great ingredient used in these healthy cookie dough balls are cashews! Cashews are a great source of healthy fats and proteins. They also contain high amounts of vitamin E, vitamin K, calcium, potassium and magnesium. Having these cashews along with the dates makes for a super nutritional snack with a healthy dose of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, protein and healthy fats!
To give these cookie dough balls some more flavour, I added in some pink salt, vanilla and sugar free chocolate chips. Adding some salt enhances the sweet flavours by giving the balls a sweet and salty complex. Vanilla is a great ingredient to add to any sweet dish because it gives you the sweet flavours you desire without any artificial sweeteners. Lastly the sugar free chocolate chips will give you some creaminess as well as an extra dose of sweetness!
You can enjoy these tasty cookie dough treats as a lean dessert or simply as a snack throughout the day.
