Fluffy Protein Pancakes!
I’ve been LOVING chocolatey recipes lately, these pancakes being one of them! These protein lean-cakes are the PERFECT healthy refuel after a fasted HIIT Workout! You can have these lean-licious pancakes prepped and cooked in only 20 minutes!
These pancakes are PACKED with protein! Containing a scoop of your favourite protein and flex meal, a serving of these pancakes has 4 grams of protein! If you want to thicken the batter, you can also choose to add an extra scoop of protein to up your protein intake! The peanut butter on top not only adds sweetness, but it also adds some extra protein in there! Make sure when choosing your peanut butter, go for a natural, “no sugar added” option! Some popular peanut butter brands contain tons of added sugar and salt which can turn this healthy dish into a not so healthy one. Check out my AMAZON STORE FOR SOME LEANMAZING PEANUT BUTTER OPTIONS
Another product to consider is the maple syrup. I like to use Walden Farms Maple syrup .This maple syrup is calorie free, contains no added sugar, but most importantly, gives you that extra sweetness without all the extra sugar regular maple syrup contains!
You can have a little fun with the toppings on these Pancakes! If you like, you can choose to add any kind of berries or fruits to your pancakes, such as blueberries or strawberries. If you want to stick to the more salty and savory toppings, you can add some healthy nuts and seeds such as walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds. Adding nuts will give you an extra dose of healthy fats and protein!
