OCTOBER SQUADIE OF THE MONTH!

Happy Wednesday Squadies! It’s that time of month again - time to announce our SUPER SQUADIE OF THE MONTH! Our super squadie is:

BRANDON CHESBRO!

Growing up, Brandon had a speedy metabolism and had no worries about gaining weight! He ate what he wanted and stayed the same size. As he moved into his career as a photographer, constant travel made it hard for him to get into or stick to a healthy routine. The next thing he knew a few years had passed and his body was not where he wanted it to be!

Nearing the beginning of the pandemic while stuck in quarantine, Brandon decided it would be a great time to start focusing on getting back into shape! After being introduced to the LEASNQUAD by his wife back in April, he started with our free 7 Day Quarantine Challenge. Once he began looking and feeling better, he decided to dive-in and sign up for the 30 Day Lean Challenge in July!
Since then, Brandon has been such a leanspiration to myself and the squad! His new state of mental and physical health has enhanced his life in ways he didn’t anticipate and has allowed him to have more energy at work and with his family.
Brandon is now heading into his 5TH challenge this coming Monday and we are SO happy to have him as a part of our squad! He has shared his experiences in our community Slack groups and has helped motivate and inspire squadies from around the world and has also inspired his own group of friends and loved ones to come along the lean journey with him.
Thank you for keeping us all motivated Brandon! You are truly a leanspiration!

Q1-4: NAME, AGE, HOMETOWN & OCCUPATION:

Names: Brandon Chesbro

Ages: 37

Hometown: Franklin, Tennessee

Occupation: Photographer

Q5: WHEN DID YOU JOIN LEANSQUAD?

July 20th 30 day challenge

Q6: WHAT PHASE ARE YOU CURRENTLY ON?

5th challenge!

Q7: WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESS AS A PART OF LEANSQUAD:

Overall? My life has changed. I feel like I am 1000% healthier in every way. I’ve lost 25 pounds of fat, finally got rid of my back and chest fat, and made a huge mental and physical transformation that makes every workout something to look forward to instead of dread!

Q8: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE LEAN MEAL?

EASILY the sweet potato chicken nuggets with hot sauce!

Q9: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE WHOOPSIE?

Old Fashioned Cocktail and Pizza!

Q10: AS THE SQUADIE OF THE MONTH, WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER 1 LEANSQUAD TIP TO SHARE?

Don’t give up! The 30-day challenge is SO amazing, but when you challenge your body in such an extreme way (especially for me, someone who hasn’t worked out consistently in 10 years) it is going to take time to start seeing the external results. My metabolism was pretty much dead when I started with the 7-day challenge and it took me doing it 4 times before my metabolism was officially running wild! Once you do start seeing the external results, the transformation will start moving much faster! I worked out for at least 4 weeks before I started really losing weight and seeing my body change. Mentally though, I started seeing results within a week. I was happier, more positive, less tired and excited about every day!

Q11: WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE STARTING THEIR LEAN JOURNEY

Don’t worry, you got this! One of my biggest struggles with any kind of workout video was being SO burnt out after a 60-minute session that I didn’t want to work out the rest of the week. I was sore, felt discouraged and just tired. But Phil and the LeanTeam have crafted these workouts so perfectly. The pacing will definitely be difficult and you’ll be sweating buckets, but it’s not TOO much where you are too tired the next day. Take it one day at a time and keep going! Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can!

Q12: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE LEAN RESTAURANT TO EAT OUT AT?

There aren’t a ton of options here for lean meals, but there is a place called Herban Market that has a killer turkey and cucumber wrap in a coconut wrap…delicious!

Q13:  IF YOU HAVE ONE, PLEASE SUBMIT A LEANSQUAD APPROVED RECIPE!

Almost every morning I make a pretty dang tasty avocado toast after my workout. Smashed avocado with a little bit of olive oil on the bread, then top with salt, sliced cherry tomatoes, and some balsamic reduction. That with a protein shake is my go-to after a workout!
