NOVEMBER SUPER SQUADIE | One Day at a Time!

Happy Wednesday Squadies! Today we will be announcing our super squadie of the month! Our super squadie has been an active, dedicated part of the squad and has been taking it one day at a time since joining back in May, this squadie is…

LUCKY BHATTI!

Lucky has been SO leanspirational to myself and the squadies who have been completing the LEANSQUAD challenges alongside him. He began his journey back in May with one of our first 30-Day Quaranlean Challenges. Since then, he has CRUSHED through 3 30-day challenges one 6-week challenge. He is now on his SECOND round of the 6-week challenge and continues to push the lean limits every day!    Lucky has showed us how staying physically active can mean so much more than just physical appearance and health. Over the past  6 months, Lucky has grown stronger, physically, and MENTALLY. He has had the chance to experience the mental shift that comes along with physical activity and in his own words, went from...   “someone that didn't care much about my health to someone that believes it's critical to focus on one's physical and mental health. They go hand in hand..”   Using the slack group as a source of motivation and accountability, Lucky has been able to PUSH the lean limits and has adopted the mantra “one day at a time!”    I wanted to thank Lucky for being such a motivational and inspirational Squadie! Thank you for showing all of us what you can accomplish if you really push yourself, take it one day at a time, and use exercise as MORE then just a workout session - but a chance to focus on yourself and improve your mental health as well!

4 challenges, currently on my 5th

Not only losing close to 40 lbs but becoming stronger mentally. Understanding how to push through challenges not only in life but the workouts. And also gaining confidence within myself.

Q8: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE LEAN MEAL?

Too many to choose from!

Q9: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE WHOOPSIE?

Wine and pizza (sometimes both at the same time)

Q10: AS THE SQUADIE OF THE MONTH, WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER 1 LEANSQUAD TIP TO SHARE?

Don’t give up, we all have tough days.  Days we do not want to get out of bed, challenges at work and home.  Use the workouts as a way of pushing through it all.  If that doesn’t help, you can always swear at Phil.  LOL

Q11: WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE STARTING THEIR LEAN JOURNEY

One rep at a time, one day at a time, one challenge at a time, it is not a race, it is a lifestyle change for the better.

Q12: WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE LEAN RESTAURANT TO EAT OUT AT?

I try not to eat out as much, but when I do it is a balanced meal, mostly protein and veggies.  (The Keg when in the mood for steak)

Q13:  IF YOU HAVE ONE, PLEASE SUBMIT A LEANSQUAD APPROVED RECIPE!

I try and BBQ all year long (well for as long as I can) One of my go to    recipes has been BBQ tandoori chicken.  (salad or veggies on the side)  Marinate the chicken in low fat yogurt adding a teaspoon of tandoori masala, half a teaspoon of salt, pepper, chili powder and paprika. (Mix it all together) Depending on the size of the chicken breasts you can marinate a few.  After an hour of marinating, it is ready to be grilled!
