Let’s sweeten up our time in quarantine with these leansane keto Reeses peanut butter cups! SO many of my squadies have been absolutely loving them, so i thought, why not MAKE THEM TOGETHER!
Grab your apron and grab your kids, significant other, siblings, parents, roommates – whoever you are in quarantine with and let’s BAKE TOGETHER! Instead of spending your quarantine time alone, spend some time with me and my family with you and your family as we bake these lean treats together!
These keto Reeses peanut butter cups are chocolaty, peanut buttery AND LEAN! They are sugar-free and are super simple to make! When stuck at home for a long period of time through a stressful situation, it is super easy to start getting into bad eating habits. We all have those unhealthy quarantine snacks just WAITING to be opened! Let’s hold off on that for now and focus our energy into making some LEAN yet SWEET snacks!
What you will need:
If you downloaded my emergency grocery list and have gotten the items off my list, you should have MOST of the ingredients needed! There are also some ingredients you can easily swap if you do not have the exact ingredient listed!
If you do not have peanut butter, you can replace it with ANY nut butter of your choice. Almond butter is my go to! For the sweetening agent in these tasty reese cups, I used walden farms maple syrup! I choose this ingredient because it is SWEET yet SUGAR FREE! If you do not have it, you can purchase it HERE on amazon, OR you can replace it with honey, agave or regular maple syrup! Keep in mind, if you do this then your keto reeses peanut butter cups will no longer be sugar free – or keto! Although they will still be a healthy alternative to your traditional chocolaty snack!
As for appliances and baking supplies, you will need:
- 1 muffin tray
- silicone (or paper) muffin cups to line the tray
- Food processor (or blender)
- medium /large bowl
- measuring and mixing spoons
Here’s ALL the ingredients you will need to make these keto Reeses peanut butter cups below:
- 3/4 cup Almonds, raw
- 1/4 cup Rolled oats
- 2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter ( or any nut butter of your choice)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Walden Farms Sugar free Maple Syrup
- 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, warmed & melted
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
- pinch of fine grain sea salt to taste
