3 Sweet & Healthy No-Bake Snacks

No bake snacks are one of my favourite go to snacks to make!

WHY?

Because they are easy, quick recipes AND they are perfect for a grab-and-go snack! A lot of grab-and-go snacks in a NON-Lean household come from a box, such as granola bars, chips, cookies. There are some leaner grab and go options, such as a fruit or a bag of nuts and seeds, but eating the same couple snacks can get boring! When trying to stay LEAN and keep that sweet tooth at bay, having a snack that is naturally sweetened, lean, and filling is the perfect choice!

RECIPE #1 :

No Bake Protein Balls  

This no bake protein ball recipe is definitely one of my go to’s. They are super versatile and yummy! You can add a ton of different ingredients, such as additional seeds or nuts, to make the perfect ball for you!

Since these snacks contain protein powder, plus a ton of other protein and nutrient packed ingredients (flaxseeds and peanut butter) these balls are sure to fill you up and give you the refuel feel you need, unlike snacks such as granola bars which are packed with sugar! I bet you’re thinking,

“but Phil I like sweet snacks!”

If you want a sweet snack then you are in luck! These balls ARE sweet, but are sweetened with natural and healthy sources of sweetness such as dark chocolate chips!

RECIPE #2

Berry Lean Yogurt Bar!

 

These berry bars are SURE to cool you down in the summer heat! The best part about them? You only need 10 minutes to prep and make them! This recipe is also super versatile, you can add, or swap the fruits with other berries of your choice! For all the vegans out there, the yogurt can be swapped out for a non-dairy yogurt, such as a coconut based, soy based or almond based yogurt! Also, the pecans add a great crunch to the bars!

If you prefer, you can swap the pecans for walnuts, or you can ADD walnuts or any other nuts you’d like! These yogurt bars can easily be stored in the freezer, and can be stored for up to 2-3 weeks!

Here’s what you need to make them:

LEAN-GREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups plain greek yogurt

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ tsp fresh lemon juice

  • Pinch of salt

  • Strawberries (to liking)

  • Blueberries (to liking)

  • pecans (to liking)

RECIPE #3

No Bake Chocolatey Peanut Butter Bites

Who else LOVES the chocolate and peanut butter combo?! I am a HUGE fan of anything chocolate and peanut butter! Unfortunately, most snacks that do contain chocolate and peanut butter are usually PACKED with preservatives and tons of sugar!

Not a very lean combo!

Although these peanut butter bites contain both chocolate and peanut butter, they are NOT loaded with sugar!!

I used healthy, natural sources of sweetner so you can have your sweetness, minus the sugar! These are another perfect grab and go snack. Thanks to the peanut butter, these bites also contain a good amount of protein! This easy and delicious grab-and-go snack are the perfect lean treat that will leave your sweet tooth satisfied!

Here’s what you need to make it:

LEAN-GREDIENTS :

  • 2 cups natural smooth peanut butter (no sugar or salt added)

  • ¾ cups coconut flour

  • ½ cup Walden’s Farms Maple Syrup

  • 2 cups sugar free dark chocolate chips
